Colorado Dance Promoter Program Newly revised……January 24, 2010 This award a project of CSSDA Publicity is to promote participation in square and round dance activities by Colorado dancers and to encourage the promotion of square and round dancing in our communities. Requirements must be met within calendar year January 1 to December 31st.
February 3, 2010 Congratulations are in order. You will find on this web page a list of your dancing friends that are among the 46 individuals that completed the requirements for the Colorado Dance Promoter Award. This program was developed by the CSSDA in 2005 to offer an incentive for Colorado dancers to actively participate in the promotion of square and round dancing. To promote our activity within their dance world and in their community. We are very fortunate to have these fellow dancers dedicated to the growth of our favorite activity. They will each receive a special Colorado Promoter Badge, with 2009 dangle, a bar with their name on it and a special Colorado Dance Promoter bar that can be worn with their club badge. They will also receive special recognition at the Showcase of Ideas at our State Festival in Keystone. Also deserving our congratulations are five Colorado square dance clubs. Foot and Fiddle of Loveland, Merry Mixers of Greeley, Hix and Chix of Longmont, the Mountaineers of Littleton and Swing Thrus of Aurora. The members and officers of these five clubs are the only clubs that have participated in the club level program. Foot and Fiddle and the Swing Thrus have participated in the program every year since the beginning of the program. Hix and Chix is the newcomer to the list. These five clubs will each receive an engraved plaque in recognition of their dedication to promoting square and round dancing. Those plaques will be presented to the clubs by our State Presidents during the welcome ceremony at the festival in Keystone. We encourage all dancers in our association borders to consider participating in the program this year. The program runs from January 1 through December 31st. Newly revised forms that take effect immediately are posted on this web site. Please take a look at the changes. We have added several more requirements for you to choose from. Start filling out your form now….. I have observed that many of you would easily qualify, if you would just take a minute at the end of the year to send in your form. Once again, congratulations to our 2009 recipients, the list follows. Linda
