Jerry Haag, a native of Cheyenne, Wyoming where he still maintains his permanent home, has been calling 45+ years. He has toured and called for clubs, festivals and conventions in all 50 states plus Canada, New Zealand, Australia, Japan, China, Germany, Denmark and Sweden.

     Jerry has been honored with 3 gold records for his recordings. He has been a member of Callerlab since its origination and is a co- owner of Chaparral Recording Company. He was the receptor of the Callerlab Milestone Award which is the highest award given by Callerlab - a recognition and approval by peers of conduct and contribution to the Square Dance Activity. 

    In 1974, the Haags started a square and round dance program in a trailer park in Mission, Texas where they worked for 15 years. Jerry is presently the resident caller for Tropic Star Resort in Pharr, Texas and also calls at Texas Trails RV Park in Pharr. His instruction and dances include Beginners through A-2 from Nov. Through March. Jerry returns to Cheyenne and tours during the spring, summer and early fall. 

    His wife, Sherry, works with him in the activity. They have 2 grown daughters and 1 grandson. They play golf when the opportunity is available. The Haags feel Square Dancing is a wonderful activity for all ages and tops them all for meeting beautiful people from all over the world.
