DUTIES OF CSSDA SENIOR REPRESENTATIVE

 1.       Both representatives are members of the Council Executive Board.

2.       Representatives are elected in December and serve for two years.  Duties are assumed at the January meeting.  They are required to attend all state meetings (4 each year) unless an emergency arises at which time they may send a proxy.

3.       Each person has one vote at the state meetings and they are the voting representatives for the Council.  If an item is referred back to the Denver Council by the CSSDA for vote, the representatives are required to request a Council directive as to how they should vote.

4.       The Senior Representative is to make a report of the items of interest in the Denver area at each state meeting.  Two copies of each report are to be distributed at the state meeting.

5.       The Junior Representative serves on the CSSDA Publicity Committee and should give a report on publicity for the Denver area at the publicity breakfast.  They are responsible for seeing that special news is sent to the state bulletin.

6.       The state meetings are held in a different area each time.  The Council Representatives extend an invitation to the CSSDA to hold their meeting in Denver when it is Denver's turn to be host.  The representatives are in charge of obtaining a meeting place, restaurant for the publicity breakfast and seeing that the Council clubs contribute to the pot luck dinner held after the CSSDA meeting.  They are responsible for providing a P.A. system for the Sunday meeting.

7.       The representatives keep the Council President and Executive Board informed as to Denver's festival obligations.

8.       Reimbursement for mileage to attend the state meetings may be obtained from the Council Treasurer.

9.       A combined report from both Junior and Senior representatives should be given at each Council meeting and a copy given to the Secretary.
