DUTIES OF DAS&RDC HALL OF FAME CHAIRMAN 1. The immediate Past President of the DAS&RDC shall serve as chairman. Should he decline, a chairman shall be appointed according to B. 2 of Policy Sheet and Guidelines. 2. At the May Executive Board meeting, the acting chairman will conduct the selection of the Hall of Game Committee members. This shall be accomplished by lot. 3. Submit the guidelines for Hall of Fame to the DAS&RDC Bulletin for publication in the September issue. a. Distribute nomination forms to all Council representatives at the September Council meeting. b. Following close of nominations, at November Council meeting, send nomination form for completion to each nominee. c. All nomination forms are to be returned to the chairman by December 31. 4. Gather all nomination forms, discard those who have less then ten (10) years experience in dance activity and distribute the eligible nominations, in proper form, to the committee members. 5. The chairman will call a meeting of the committee to evaluate the nominations, no later than March 1, include the Council President. 6. After the final points are determined for each nominee, by the committee, the top two point totals shall be selected for the Hall of Fame. 7. A formal letter of regret is to be sent to each unsuccessful nominee and nominator. 8. When the date of induction has been set, the chairman will accomplish the following: a. Order badges for inductees. b. Order the brass plaques and engraving. c. Assure that the Hall of Fame certificates are completed and signed. d. Make sure that resumes are prepared and entered into the Hall of Fame Scrapbook. e. Make arrangements for the Council Photographer to be present, for the ceremonies, to take pictures. f. Notify the Council President that awards are to be made at a regular Council meeting, preferably May. g. Order corsages for lady inductees. 9. Follow procedures of installation as prescribed in "Installation Procedure."
