DUTIES OF DAS&RDC VICE PRESIDENT Shall: 1. be a member of the Council Executive Board. 2. preside at meetings of the Council and/or Executive Board in the absence of or at the request of the President, and assist the President. 3. succeed to the office of President, should a vacancy arise. 4. be responsible for the reading of special announcements brought to Council meetings by representatives or guests. (Note: Care should be taken NOT to read any announcements which have been published in the BULLETIN.) 5. be responsible for the Vice President's report. This consists of any message from the Executive Board that needs emphasis. 6. contact the caller for use of his P.A. system during the Council meeting. If the caller equipment is not available on time, set up Council system which is kept by the Vice President. If repair to system is necessary, arrange for repair after consultation with the Executive Board. 7. be responsible for closing up hall and seeing that hall is returned to original state. 8. be the Council representative at the Denver Area Callers Association's monthly meetings on the fourth Sunday, each month. A report is to be made to the Executive Board and at Council meetings. 9. be Chairman for the Council Anniversary Dance and Co-Chairman with the Callers Association for "Fun, Friendship, and Frolic" Dance. 10. be responsible for the ordering of tickets and printing of flyers for special dances of Council. Also responsible for decorations, door prizes, collection of tickets/money, ordering refreshments and getting volunteers, as needed for the above jobs. 11. submit ad for Council's Anniversary Dance, by August 1st in September, October, and November BULLETINS, since Anniversary Dance is second Sunday in November. Vice President also handles tickets for this and distributes them to Council reps at September meeting. If a raffle is held at this dance, preparations and tickets need to be taken care of. Get lots of help. 12. about March, PANIC. Start worrying about the committees you need to fill if you become President. Bug current President and Past Officers for answers to questions you didn't know existed if you take office in June. 13. have responsibilities subject to change at the discretion of the President. 14. automatically become a member of Hall of Fame Committee. 15. schedule callers and cuers for mini-dances in conjunction with Caller/Cuer Coordinator and be responsible for ads being place in the Bulletin.
