Square Dance Clothes
Men's Clothes
The men generally wear long sleeved dance shirts, and a square dance tie
with tie slide, bow tie, or a bolo. If the man is dancing with a
chosen partner for a long period of time, he may want to match his clothes
to his partner's dress.
This is a typical style for the guys. Tie, slide, shirt, badge, and
pants of their choice.
Women's Clothes
The women wear a blouse and skirt (with or without a belt) or a dress,
a petticoat, pettipants or sissypants, and dance shoes or whatever type
of shoes they find most comfortable.
This is what all women square dancers wear. This is a drees, not a
two piece.
Another detail for square dancers that is required at all events is
a badge showing what group they belong to.
