Dances continue at Lions Community Park in Dimondale at 304 West

Jefferson, next to the FIRE station. Dancing 7:00 to dusk. Dave Magee

and Kay Boyd will be there September 3 and Bill Chase and Kay will be

calling and cueing on the 10^th for our final dance at the park.



*Lessons*: Mainstream level lessons start the evening of Tuesday,

September 16^th through Holt Community Education. The six-week series,

from 7:00 to 9:00, costs $36 with a discount for those over 60 years of

age. Invite a friend, or better yet, bring a friend, to join the

wonderful world of western-style square dancing. Enroll at 517-694-3411

and they will tell you at which Holt school we will be dancing. This

class is also appropriate for those wishing to get back into dancing or

for newcomers who need some extra floor time.



.We “*/GOTTA DANCE/*” on September 17^th . Join us for our first dance

back at Henry North School, 333 E. Miller Road, Lansing with Roy and

Betsy Gotta. Many of us enjoyed dancing to them last year at the Lansing

Precinct and also at the 2008 National Convention in Wichitaw. Betsy

does the calling and Roy is the cuer.



On September 24 the theme is /Dancing with the Dogs/ and Mark Doyle and

Pam Vandlen will be calling and cueing. October dancing starts off on

the 1^st with /Rocket and Roll/ and Dave Mage and Linda Catey.



Put a star on you calendar for Saturday, *November 29* for a *Grande

Parader* *Fifth Saturday* *Dance *at *7:00* at the Lansing South

Precinct Gym. Jimmie Robison will be calling and Roger Latchaw cueing.



Squares are alternating mainstream and plus, with an advanced tip if we

have a square. Round dances are cued to the dancers’ level



Our thanks to the local callers and cuers who support dancing in the

Lansing area. These are the folks who help build our clubs by giving

lessons, call and cue at our special events, and are always there to
