Welcome to Square Dancing in
Northeast Colorado
Thank you for visiting. Visit us to find out information on dances, lessons and other goings on in and around the northeast Colorado square dance community. Information is updated frequently so visit often.
Dances listed will be those sponsored by the Northeast Council and the Northeast Colorado Callers and Cuers Association.
Square Dancing is dancing in a square with a partner and
3 other couples. A Caller "calls" out the dance and you follow the directions.
Anyone can do it! Square Dancing requires lessons
to participate in dances. As with other dancing, there are multiple levels
that can be achieved. Beginning dancers take Mainstream
lessons. After Mainstream lessons, you can advance to the Plus
level.
Round Dancing is another form of dancing done through our
clubs. You dance with a partner in a large circle with other dancers and
a Cuer "cues" you to the steps.
Members: If your club should have a change or cancellation,
please call Carolen Quinn at 303 469-4044 as soon as
possible so we can try and post the information. See What's
News for updated information and recent changes.
