RED RIVER NEW MEXICO

JULY 29 - AUGUST 4, 2001

During the week of July 25th through August 1st 1999 Henry Israel & Danny Payne were the staff square dance callers at Red River New Mexico - their first time in Red River together. The dances were well attended with dancers not only from Oklahoma, as you would expect since Henry & Danny are both from there, but from Texas, Indiana, Arizona, New Mexico, Colorado, Louisiana, Ohio, Georgia, & California. (I hope I didn't miss anybody). We did it again in 2000, again experiencing a wonderful week in the mountains.

The weather is usually FANTASTIC in Red River, and 1999  & 2000 were no exceptions, with lows in the upper 40's and highs right around 85!! Absolutely wonderful. The fishing was just about as good as the weather and the dancing. Henry & Danny were able to land enough fish to have a "fish fry" on Saturday afternoon between the workshop and the evening dance - both years! Danny has now joined Henry as an avid fly fisherman. Come join us if you like to be on the water at first light! It was a  GREAT time and many of the dancers who dance regularly with Danny &/or Henry attended, as well as some who have been on cruises with them. Many from Henry's home club - Circle 8 - joined us for the week.

Make plans NOW to be in RED RIVER NEW MEXICO next year, 2001, during the week of July 29th through August 4th. That is when Henry & Danny will once again be the staff callers for this GREAT event!!
