Its summertime and this is my last article until the fall. My does time fly. I know that lots of you will be traveling this summer. Throughout this article, I have placed some hints in case you get lost. You can tell from the drivers around you what State you are in. My first trip this summer will be to where you might see

Just in case you are in town, the Swing Thru’s have some great dances planned for this Summer. In June, come join us for a great patriotic celebration at our annual Red, White and Blue Dance on Friday, June 20, 2003. Daryl Clendenin will be calling and Ty Rotruck will be cueing.

If your travels lead you to the East Coast here are some clues to figure out where you are:

One hand on wheel,
one hand on horn:
CHICAGO.

NEW YORK.

cutting across all lanes of traffic:

In July, just when the summer heat seems unbearable, the Swing Thru’s get out their Ice Cream freezers for our Annual Ice Cream Social. This year the Ice Cream will not be the only treat, but we will be treated to the calling and cueing of Betty Falk and her husband Jim. The Victory Grange is considering putting in Air Conditioning. I can’t think of a better way to spend a summer evening.

Otherwise known as LOS ANGELES. This of course is Ed Kremers who will be calling for the Swing Thru’s at our Summer Special on August 1, 2003. Ed will be sharing the microphone with Leroy Shade.

In between these two dances, we will be traveling northwest on our way to Alaska. Our first stop will be where they drive with

The culmination of the Swing Thru’s summer is our annual Beach Party. This dance, where casual attire is encouraged, is on August 15, 2003 and will feature caller Roger Schapell and cuer Bob Langan. So plan to come out, grab a hot dog and dance up a storm!
